ConvertBox Review & Pricing: Best Tool For Lead Generation?

Have you been struggling to convert more of your site visitors into leads and paying customers?

Well, if you’re using a tool such as Thrive Leads or OptinMonster, I can certainly see why …

Those tools aren’t bad by any means, but they lack the capability to individualize each visitor’s experience, so you’re only showing static popups.

Now, if you were to use ConvertBox, there’s a whole lot of methods you can use to personalize each visitor’s experience, as we’ll cover in this post!

Let’s dive into this review & pricing post on ConvertBox, where we’ll cover why this brand-new platform is my “ace in the hole” for converting more leads and sales …

What is ConvertBox?

ConvertBox is a lead generation software that’s designed specifically to engage visitors, build email lists, and drive more sales with beautiful conversion-focused messages.

Instead of your typical lead-generation tool, ConvertBox uses streamlined templates that are modern, slick, and welcoming to your visitors!

Who’s the team behind ConvertBox?

Dean Saunder is the founder of ConvertBox, which started as ConvertBar, before getting rebranded.

His team constantly added new features, integrations, and customization to make it the best lead generation plugin on the market.

Recently, it was acquired by Josh Bartlett and it’s now being run by his team. He’s well known for being the owner of ThriveCart, one of the best shopping cart platforms on the market!

Who is ConvertBox made for?

ConvertBox was built for all different types of business owners:

  • Affiliate Marketers
  • Bloggers
  • SaaS owner
  • Coach/Consultant
  • Anyone else with a website

ConvertBox is designed to help you generate more leads and sales from your website, while offering ways to personlize each visitors experience.

So if you own a website for your business, you will want to consider it.

What I like about ConvertBox

It’s beginner friendly

One of the main reasons I switched to ConvertBox was how easy they make everything.

It’s well-organized, and a breeze to use overall.

Whether you’re looking for integrations, analytics, or to create a new form, it’s right there for you!

It may not seem like a big deal in the beginning, but once you have hundreds or thousands of forms on your website, it becomes a massive benefit.

They offer intelligent targeting that other platforms can’t compete with

Lead generation tools like Thrive Leads and OptinMonster limit how you can target your visitors, which is why ConvertBox is in a class of it’s own.

Those other platforms allow you to show pop-ups based on categories, tags, pages, posts, etc.

On the other hand, ConvertBox allows you to target your visitors much better. You can even integrate with your favorite CRM to show buyers a certain message, and enterprise members a different message!

Here are some of the options available to you:

It includes a ton of modern, conversion-focused templates to use

As you can see on this page, the pop-ups are modern and focused on conversions.

Currently, they have four different types of forms available to you:

And once you select your preferred type, you’ll be prompted with nine different templates to choose from:

In addition, you can create your forms from scratch if you prefer to do so.

It’s constantly being updated and improved

ConvertBox is constantly updating and improving its platform, as you can see from their blog.

Here is the latest update:

On top of that, they were recently acquired by Josh Bartlett (owner of multiple successful SaaS), who has already updated the limits for existing members while adding in more awesome features.

Since purchasing the lifetime deal for ConvertBox, I’ve been satisfied with how things are going.

It can be used on any website (without bloat)

Unlike most plugins that only integrate with WordPress, ConvertBox is a cloud-based software that can be used on any website, by adding a short piece of code.

This is great for a few different reasons:

  1. You aren’t tied down to WordPress in the future.
  2. You can use it on your favorite landing page or funnel builder.

And best of all, it’s lightweight, so it won’t slow down your website and ruin your user experience.

They do offer a WordPress plugin if you want more compatibility, but it’s totally optional.

You can easily split test your forms

ConvertBox gives you everything you need to split test, and optimize your forms for conversions.

Since their software includes A/B testing, you can test different forms against each other to make the most of your efforts!

You can do this with one click from your ConvertBox dashboard.

What I didn’t like about ConvertBox

It doesn’t include advanced analytics

While ConvertBox does a solid job tracking interactions and leads on their software, they lack when it comes to more in-depth reporting.

For example, you can’t see a page-by-page report for how many views, interactions, or leads you receive!

You can see the report I pulled from my ConvertBox dashboard above – it’s simple, clean, but lacks reporting on a page-by-page level.

It’s not a big deal, but it’s worth noting.

It’s not the most affordable

ConvertBox is quite expensive when you first look at the price tag.

While most tools charge you monthly or annually, ConvertBox is only available for lifetime access at this time.

It’ll cost you almost $500 to purchase but I don’t regret my investment at all – it’s already paid for itself many times over.

An inside look at ConvertBox

After logging in to ConvertBox, you’ll be brought to your dashboard.

This is where you’ll be able to create new groups, ConvertBox’s, and check out how your forms are performing!

Most similar tools can’t match how clean and modern ConvertBox’s user interface is, offering fast and easy reporting.

The next section in the back office is the reporting, or statistics section.

Here, you can filter your ConvertBox statistics by a specific date range, group of ConvertBox’s, or a specific ConvertBox!

Then, you can check out how many views, interactions, and leads you have generated. It’s the best place to see how your forms are converting!

ConvertBox has a lot of different integrations, and they’re constantly adding more. Here are the tools they currently integrate with:

Form Builder

Last but not least is ConvertBox’s form builder and editor.

When you first open the editor, you’ll see a screen that looks like this:

It’ll look like the template you choose (or blank if you start from scratch).

There are four steps you must take to get your ConvertBox live:

  • Customize the ConvertBox
  • Choose where it will display
  • Select your targeting preferences
  • Launch the ConvertBox

How much does ConvertBox cost?

Unfortunately, ConvertBox is unavailable to the public at this time.

But after speaking with Josh and the team at ConvertBox, we were able to get a special invitation for readers of our blog, which you can claim here.

Here are the details you need regarding the lifetime deal:

Every couple of months or even a year, they increase the price of the software.

For now, it’s $495 for the lifetime license with everything you need.

And if you decide to wait until the lifetime deal goes away forever… you’ll be stuck paying $99 per month.

So I’d highly recommend creating your lifetime ConvertBox account before that happens!

Oh, they also have a “pro” upgrade. It’s an additional $95, and offers higher limits. I personally didn’t upgrade.

Everything else you should know

Can ConvertBox replace my landing page or funnel builder?

ConvertBox can replace your lead generation tool, but it’s not a replacement for your landing page or funnel building software.

Is ConvertBox’s lifetime deal still available?

It should be, you can click here to check if it’s still available.

Will I have to pay for support or future updates of ConvertBox?

Nope! The lifetime deal makes it so you won’t have to pay for anything in the future.

How does ConvertBox compare to Thrive Leads or OptinMonster?

I like ConvertBox since it’s more flexible, modern, and conversion-focused. Oh, and no ongoing fees!

You can see how ConvertBox stacks up against their competitors in this post.

Which software does ConvertBox integrate with?

ConvertBox integrates with the following software:

  • ActiveCampaign
  • AWeber
  • ConvertKit
  • Demio
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • Gist
  • Hubspot
  • Infusionsoft
  • Klaviyo
  • MailChimp
  • MailerLite
  • MooSend
  • OntraPort
  • Platformly
  • Sendinblue
  • SendFox

They’re constantly adding more and more integrations, you can see the entire list here.

My final thoughts on ConvertBox

I highly recommend ConvertBox for any online business owners.

In under a month of adding it to my niche sites, it earned me way more than my investment of $495.

And now, I have lifetime access with no ongoing fees.

Here’s what you should do…

Pick up ConvertBox’s lifetime deal, try it out risk-free for 30 days, and see how it works for you!
